Welcome, Mark

Well folks, Lake Desolation is "officially" released and available all over the place. The reviews are trickling in and they're good (so far). One reviewer wrote: "Their songs are infective, psychedelic at times, and predominantly very sweet so perhaps that's why they choose the moniker Albumen, which is an egg white and a key ingredient for meringues." I'm not sure which sweet song they are referring to -- the one about the gluttonous vultures, the one about tragedy and disappointment in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, or the one about being stuck in a coma...who am I kidding, they're all downright adorable! Links to reviews are on the music page.
Much more importantly, our long search for a third member has ended happily -- everybody say hi to Mark Ramirez, the new Albu-man. Mark is a kick-ass drummer, guitarist, and songwriter and is performing all three duties in Albumen now. We're playing a bunch of Mark's songs as well as new stuff from Paul and Andy. Check out some of Mark's songs at his website. Hopefully we'll be playing some new shows and recording again in the near future. Stay tuned.
